Linda's Story
The Farmer's Daughter who married
the traveling salesman.....yes,
we all know the joke. However,
after 10 moves around the US, I
became a single parent of a 12 year
old daughter ( she is now 34)and I
began a career in new home sales
for country club communities. I
have now racked up 20 years doing
that!
I try to learn 2 new things every
year...from learning to ride a horse
2 years ago ( and rescuing two)to
playing the harmonica. Diversity is
a good thing !
My dog Baxter is my constant companion
and best friend. Man's best friend?
No Woman's Best Friend....He is a
beau...Expand for more
tiful Golden Retriever and he
and I keep a Journal...no writers
block for us.
I keep the farm experience going by
herb gardening and growing tons of
flowers. I would love to go all
organic. My favorite book read
recently is Barbara Kingsolver's
Animal,Vegetable,Miracle. I try to
support the local farmers, and try
to avoid factory farm meats,poultry,
etc. Fortunately, we have a large
Mennoite community who offer free
range eggs and hand churned butter.
I am a baking fanatic-but keep
the lbs off by walking and line
dancing.
That's enough of my story, let's
hear yours..
