Linda's Story
I left California in 1976 and moved to Bayfield, Colorado. I divorced, moved to Durango and remarried. I have a daughter (26) and a son (24). The light of my life are my 4 grandchildren. Twin boys, Brian and Michael (10), Evie (4) and Tory (3). My picture is of Brian, Michael and I after our helicopter trip around Sedona, Arizona. We had a blast.
I own a yarn shop in Bayfield. I am getting ready to celebrate my 3rd anniversary. My x-husband and I owned an automotive business and I really enjoy the yarn store so much more. I was married for 29 years, and while I thank it for my kids, I'm very happy being single.
I love to travel. It seems like I'm always flying here and there. I am planning a sailing/knitting trip out of Maine for next summer. I have several friends that are going with me. I would like to back to Europe and am trying to put something together.
I live out in the country...Expand for more
. We had every animal you could imagine when the kids were young. We even had an incubator on the back porch and hatched our baby ducklings. We had our cows, horses, rabbits, ducks, dogs, cats, birds and Fainting Goats. Now we have 2 dogs, a cat and 4 llamas. Life has calmed down.
I've been playing volleyball forever. The one picture is of our team at the Senior Games. We won a bronze medal. I have a bronze and a silver and would really like a gold. I had shoulder surgery in Jan. of 2008, so no volleyball for me this year.
I still need my city fix, so I run down to Albuquerque. I enjoy flying out to California to visit friends. My daughter and I spent Labor Day in Denver and didn't want to come home.
Durango is in the 4 corners area of Durango. Bayfield is 15 miles east of Durango on Hwy. 160. My shop is in the old downtown area, so if you're flying by on Hwy. 160, stop in and say hi.
