Hi Everyone!
Up-dating the profile can be tedious, but here goes. Found out in February 2008 that I have colorectal cancer. Surgery for the tumor was in June. They got all of the tumor but there was some spreading to the nodes. Have had the radiation therapy already and am now working on chemo. Don't know how many infusions I still have, but it doesn't matter. I will fight till the day God takes me.
Was in the hospital about a month ago for a heart condition I didn't know I had. The atrium is supposed to beat and contract with the rest of the heart. Mine doesn't--it vibrates, which causes my heart rate to doublt. Normal for me is 60-80 beats per minute (depending on what I'm doing at the time). The condition is called an "ATRIAL FLUTTER" and it causes my heart rate to go as high as 140 beats per minute. Not a good thing...Expand for more
. But my doctors seem to have everything under control.
I have two children, James--37; Shirly--32; and 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Who knew that grandchildren could be so important to one declining years. I just love beiong a grandmother.
I now live in Tulsa, OK, and my children and grandchildren live close by. My mother is still alive and well. Sister, too, lives here in Tulsa. I was working through Manpower Temp Agency at Lifetouch Student Studios (they do the school pictures) doing data entry. The last season I worked was Spring 2008. I now receive a pension from the VA because of my cancer as well as other health issues. Therefore, I no longer work for anyone but myself.
