Linda's Story
While at West, I was sort of shy, and mostly involved in Photgraphy, and drama, got through it all ok, but did not run in large circles... I had many outside school type responsibilities, and jobs. I married my high school guy, Frank Bowley, had 2 boys, and that marriage lasted about 18 years, through all the upheavals of life's changes. I moved to Georgia in 86, and got involved working in my own businesses, and also worked for a veterinarian there as a vet tech.. continued back to school at Life University where I became a Chiro tech and a Chiro radiological tech. I am very health conscience, and prefer the Natural and holistic health arenas. I still love photography, and outdoor activities, although I can be very domestic as well. Guess I am still a mixed bag of tricks, and prefer not to be in the mainstream of this so called life. I do fiber arts, crochet, am a vegan, and just want to live life instead of life living me. I love Dogs, and horses, and hiking and camping. Never pursued my childhood dream of having a ranch, but perhaps one day it could still happen. I prefer living in the mountains, and moderate temps. While I have done some acting and modeling, I still prefer to be on the viewfinder side of the camera. I hope to get an RV and just travel this country and maybe Canada, biding what time is left here on earth.
I hope that most who may remember me, have good memories, although I was only a mere spec at school. did not...Expand for more
worry with being Miss Personality or queen of the school. Just wanted to get through it and out of it, and get on with life. While at West, I loved Photography, Drama( mainly stagecraft), other arts, and health type classes. did not care much about the dances, football, or other sort of activities. I did my time there, would raise havoc if I saw the need, and was loyal to my friends, some people thought I knew how many tiles were on the floor in the halls as, I usually walked around looking at the floor... ;)
I currently live in NYS, and am planning to go back to my southlands of GA very soon, and continue this journey of life. I think of returning to AZ, but if I do it will be only for a short visit, and hopefully not in the Phoenix area... way too big for me. My favorite places in the state, were Payso, Sedona, Flagstaff, Perscott, and Camp Verde, Tucson was ok, but fear it is too big now, not to mention probably a bit dicey. Loved the Grand Canyon, but would not want a steady diet of it, too touristy. I miss the skies, and the sunsets, and the freedom Az once had.
Pity the state grew up.
.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 30% of it to various people and causes, then spend the rest on family, planning and enjoying life.
My current age is 62. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be much the same and happy. I was so completely wrong..
Finding oneself is quite a journey, but should be pursued early on., and never left behind.
