Life
My Spouse
We met at a fund raiser, where I was so broke I couldn't afford to pay for lunch. One of the organizers had us play a "get to know you" game, which I loath doing, but I was intrigued by the guy named Jim Jones, and made the usual stupid remark about Kool-aid and Jonestown. To make up for my stupidity, I let him marry me 6 months later. That was 5 years ago, and I can't imagine being happier.
My Kids
No one has ever proved they have committed felonies. My daughter is still my best friend (OK, I admit I'm desperate!!) and has gifted me with...Expand for more
a wonderful grandson. My son is way too much like me, but I adore him anyway. I wanted 6, but had to settle for two of my own and two of my husband's boys.
My Job
Never the same, day to day. I develop policy and procedures for the financial arm of a mid-western utility. I also develop training programs, evaluate capital projects, design presentations, run an intranet website, and do some business traveling. I am currently learning Spanish, both for professional and personal reasons. And if someone else offered me a job tomorrow, I just might take it.
