Linda's Story

Life I graduated from Hazelwood High in 1967. Went on to Florissant Community College for 3 semesters studying art history. Had to work and take care of siblings so I didn't get to complete my education, but I married in 1968 and now have three successful and wonderful sons, ages 34, 32, and 28 as well as two of the most beautiful and wonderful grandkids on the planet (don't we all). I was married for 32 years and divorced in 2000. I moved to Houston Texas in 1979 and have lived here since then. Threw away the snow shovel and enjoy the warm tropical weather! Before I came to Houston, I lived in San Francisco for 2 years, Memphis, TN, and Denver, Colorado as well. I am currently a plant manager for a corrugated paper manufactuer, Smurfit Stone Container. I live in a condo on Galveston Bay, and like us all, remember the good old days of my youth and innocence! As I looked through the list of classmate members I did not find my best friend, but saw many other names that were familiar to me and I am curious as to what has become of us all through the years. I was quiet in high school and mostly associated with friends that were older and beyond high school. Because I had a different kind of burden to bear during those years, I miss the associations and friendships that I could have developed durin...Expand for more
g those years. For those of you that I do remember when I see the names on list, I have fond memories of Linda Freeman that ate the eggs I couldn't eat in homemaking class one day and Christine K. that was so sophisticated and had such a loving grandmother that bought her a red convertible on graduation day. I remember Donna and Sam and so many others. I have friends that I don't see as members such as Joyce M., and Larry H. and Skip and Tom M. and now that almost 40 years have passed since our release into the big wide world, I am curious as to what has happened to us all since those sweet days of school and our release into the big wide and wonderful world of "adulthood". I look different now on the outside, but on the inside, I am still the girl that I used to be. Are there any of my old classmates that feel the same way? I have successes and failures and I have been on top and lower than low but I am still here and waiting for the next sunset to view over the beautiful bay. Any of my classmates, whether they remember this once quiet girl or not, is welcome to contact me and let me know where life has led them. We can all order the senior menu at Denny's but I bet we are shocked that we can! Best wishes to all of my Hazelwood aquaintances and friends. Your classmate, Linda (Rhea) Fuller
