Linda's Story
Hello my fellow classmates! Unfortunately for me, I didn't get to graduate in '69 with you all, as my mother remarried and moved us to Garland, where I had to graduate from S. Garland High School. However, I got to be with Scottye Day! Ya'll remember her? I bet you do! I've always felt I was a part of the class of '69, since I spend my entire school years there till the last, so here I am now, trying to get in touch with my old friends.
I married my high school sweetheart, Thomas. Maybe you remember me dating him? (My sophomore year, his senior) We have been married over 41 years now, have one son, and one grandson. We live out in the country, have HAD horses, cows, chickens, ducks, you name it! But in our older age, we prefer to be available for traveling, so no more livestock to care for!

ivorces (thank God never one of my own!) and real estate transactions. I truly loved that field of work, but it was very stressful, as you can imagine. Retirement suits me better! I have been very active in my community, with sitting on many local boards.
Now retired, we have enjoyed traveling all over these United States, mostly in a huge 5th wheeler, staying in some places for an entire month. What a life! And of course, devoting a lot of our time to our wonderful grandson.
One thing I really love to do now, is to make websites! I made one for my husband's class of 1967, and you can take a look at it if you like to see what some of them look like now! It's a real treat to see them all, and I wish the class of '69 had one! Oops! They don't want me to include the website addy, so I guess do a 'search for the mesquite class of 67.
