Linda's Story

When I left high school, I went straight into the Navy, had boot camp in Orlando Florida, then was stationed in San Diego for 4 years right next to Topgun. After that I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, and went to college on the GI Bill. I stayed in the Bay Area until 5 years ago when I moved to Utah for cost of living reasons, then moved to Oregon this past year to get away from the snow! ;-) I've been married and divorced, but never had kids. I've always had at least one cat, though! ;-) I've held various jobs trying out different things, but the one constant in my life has been singing and performing. I took voice lessons in college, sang lots of solos, taught voice lessons later on, and was a choir director for many years. I even sang in my boot camp choir! What's been most fun for me is directing/producing stage productions, organizing shows of various kinds, making costumes, performing, and MC-ing events. I also like teaching, and have taught various subjects, including Voice, Music, WordPerfect, English, Astrology, Christian doctrine, Color Coordination, Building a Better Relationship, and Crucial Conversations. mber of times and never really found the right situation that fit me best to become highly successful, so I keep jumping around trying different things. As a result, my business experience is quite extensive, and I could work just about anywhere in an administrative capacity. Currently I'm working for myself doing undercover compliance auditing, and contemplating another change in career direction - still considering options, and may go back to school. My biggest avocation on the side has always been psychology and studying people and relationships. I've learned a lot about healing neuroses, mental illnesses, what makes people tick, what makes people compatible, and how to have a great relationship with the opposite sex. Originally out of high school I wanted to be a psychologist, but even with my near perfect GPA and top 3% class standing, I couldn't get a full scholarship to ASU, UofA or NAU, so that's why I joined the Navy. The other constant in my life has been learning about health and working to keep myself as healthy as possible, using many alternative methods as my preference over traditional medicine. I don't like surgery or putting drugs into my body!
