Linda's Story

We moved from MI in 1981 to Morganton, NC, with Don job at Dana Corp. We live at the foothills of the Smokey Mtns. the most beautiful country. We have beautiful mountains all around us. We have two boys and 4 grandchildren. I have worn many different types of hats since graduating. Still married to Don we will be having our 47 anniversary in Nov. I love sewing and did have my own sewing business/store until Nov. 2007. Many, many times while sewing I think of Ms. Studebaker and her words of wisdom passed on to me. measure in my many life adventures. Life is short and can be cut out in a split second, live it like it was the last. Love while you can. I look back and thank God I always wanted to be a wife when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a early idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. Sew, take a drive, talk to friends, The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Margie Robson, because we were good friends in school. My first job was at Affholders Ice Cream store, where I got paid 50 cents an hr. to dish up ice cream. What I remember most about it is the fun.
