Steve's Story
When I left CMHS I went to Winona State Univ. in Minnesota and earned a bachelor's degree. I served as the Director of Elections for the State of Minnesota from 1974-9. I was appointed Legislative Director for Congressman Arlen Erdahl (R-MN) in 1979. During that time I traveled to China and helped work on opening up trade relations during the end of the Carter administration and beginning of the Reagan administration. After working on Capitol Hill I went back to school, got an additional degree (Liberty...Expand for more
University) and worked in mental health from 1987-2016, I eventually owned and operated 4 mental health clinics in suburban Washington, D.C. I retired in 2016. In 2012 I purchased a 500 year old home built into the wall of a medieval village in Central Italy. Currently, I spend my time between my home in old town Alexandria, VA and Mondavio, Italy. My family has all left Illinois for Wisconsin, so I do not travel back to Crete, but I understand it has changed significantly since I left in 1969.
