Life I moved to Los Angeles about three years ago. At first I thought I would go the college route. However, after a semester or so of school and full time work at novelty gift shop called Ahh’s, (it’s kind of like Spencer’s), I became really bored and depressed. So, I dropped out of all my classes and started to hunt non-stop for a job in the entertainment industry. Eventually I landed a gig as a transcriber for the Dr. Phil show. It didn't pay much and at first, I was doing that at night and working as a personal assistant and driver for a mean nasty old blind woman during the day. I was averaging about 3 hours of sleep a night and I was still having to sell my blood and plasma on the weekends to pay the bills. Anyway, I worked my way up and became head of transcription and then a tape dubber. Now I am still dubbing tapes, but I am now a member of the Editors Guild. My name is even in the credits now! (Well, when they run the long credits). They pay me MUCH better, and I no longer need to work a second job or sell my bodily fluids to make ends meat. I am now training to become an assistant editor... so, keep your fingers crossed! (^_^) I work insane hours and I don't get out...Expand for more
