Linn's Story

UPDATE!!! We accomplished one of our dreams...we went to Australia for 16 day over my 50th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary in August of 2007. We went to Sydney, Cairns, Kangaroo Island, Brisbane and Adelaide. We walked through the rainforrest, went diving on the Great Barrior Reef, snuggled Koala's and pet Kangaroo's. If any of you have ever thought of going to Australia...GO! It is everything you ever thought it would be and more!!! Here is my life... I got married to Wayne Reger right out of high school, moved to Phoenix, had a baby girl(Stephanie). We moved to Oregon for 1 year, then moved back to Phoenix & went to broadcast communictions school. Divorced when Stephanie was 4. Went to work for a radio station as a DJ then later as office manager. Remarried and my husband & I started our own advertising and marketing company. It was a great 4 years, but our goals for the future varied so much we decided to go our separate ways. I then went to work for Adecco Personnel (it was called ADIA back then, which was in the late 80's. Then guess what? Yep got married AGAIN...to a man with 3 sons! Continued working my way up the ladder in the staffing business in Phoenix. After a couple of years we decided we were tired of the big city life and wanted to raise the kids in a small moutain town, so we moved to Monument Colorado (1/2 way between Colorado Springs & Denver). It was great until we got completly sick of the snow (we were at 8000 ft alltitude), so 2 years later decided to move to Pensacola Florida and live on a boat! We had never been to Florida! Yeah, all these crazy ideas were mine! Stephanie had graduated high school and moved back to Phoenix and his sons decided they liked city life better and moved back to Pho...Expand for more
enix with their mother. What a great experience it was restoring a 35 foot wood cabin cruiser while living on it. It was a was one of the best experiences of my life. We stayed on the boat for 3 years. During that time I went back to school and got my college degree. Of course, that marriage didn't work either. I couldn't handle a cheating husband. Soooo...I moved off the boat and started looking for a job. I had just graduated and was looking in the newspaper under business opportunities and there was a small local staffing company for sale. The owner wanted to retire. They had almost no clients left and no employees. They agreed to let me make payments untill the $10,000 (purchase price) was paid off. My second year in business I met the man I will spend the rest of my life with. We have been together ever since. He had been a DJ his entire life. I finally talked him into helping me with the business full time in 2000. We have been together every minute of every day since then and we LOVE it! The staffing company is doing great. I started a second one 2 years ago. Since I moved to Florida in 1994 I have worked with the local Wildlife Sanctuary. My husband (Keith) has the same love of wildlife. We rehabilitate/raise orphaned and injured wildlife. Our house is always full of baby squirrels, oppossum, racoons, you name it we have had it. Our two pets are squirrels. They were both orphans that had injuries and could not be released. One is a male, his name is Post-it (after the Post-it note commercial with the squirrel in it). The other squirrel is a female named Cloey. She has a bad eye. We want to move to Tennessee (around Gatlinburg) someday. Our dream vacation is Australia for 2 weeks then Tahita for 2 weeks!
