Lisa's Story
After graduating from high school, I attended Newbury College in Boston, Mass for 2 semesters. I moved back home and started working for New England Bell. In 1981, I hopped on a train to New Orleans and married Steven Allen who was in the class of 1974 from Technical High School. Later, I moved and transferred with the telephone company to Austin, Texas where Steve was stationed at Bergstorm Airforce Base which is now closed. Bergstrom Airforce Base is now serve as our airport. After moving to Austin, my son Steven II arrived in the fall of 1982. The year of 1986 my daughter Kristina arrived. with American Airlines Cargo Reservations which I work their for 7 years. In 1998, I was employed as an administrative assistant for Adult Probation. I love working with criminals and found this line of work was so fascinating. I obtained my Bachelors Science degree in criminal justice administration. I took time off from the criminal justice field so I could finished up with my degree plan in the summer 2007. So, I worked for the IRS seasonal until I am hired on as a Juvenile Probation Officer. This June I will be going for my Master Degree in Justice and Security.
In conclusion, my marriage ended in 1992, I have 3 grandchildren (a grandson, and two granddaughters.
