Lisa's Story
Life
My greates accomplishment in my life so far are my 3 children. Chelsea 14, Austin 8, and Madison 6. They bring alot of joy !
I also love living in California. I've been here 15 1/2 years now and I realize what an awesome state I live in. Three hours to snow (tahoe) and very predictable weather. I do miss Michigan. I have not been back for 7 years. I would someday love to own a summer home in Michigan. Although I only went to Utica High school for 2 yeats, I really loved Utica High and have alot of really good memories. I met alot of great friends, some I am still in
contact with.
I hope to reconnect with alot of people I met while attending UHS. I hope everyone is doing great!!
School
Where do I start? We moved alot while I was growing up so needless to say I attended many schools. From kindergarten to 5th grade I went to Roose Elememtary School in Warren, Michigan. Then we moved to Florida, and I went to Roosevelt middle school for 3 years in Cocoa Beach, Florida, then half a year at Cocoa Beach High School in Cocoa Beach, Florida. and I attended Utica High School for 2 years, then my final two years of high school were spent at Sterling Heights High School. I really didn't care for Sterling High as much as I liked Utica High. I graduated from Sterling Heights High in 83 and finished cosmetology school. I didn't really care too much for Hairdressing, so after two years of being out of High School I decided to go away to college. I went to a private college in Atlanta, Georgia for two years and received an AA degree. Then I got married to a boyfriend from my past, we actually went to Utica High School together and graduated the same year! We were only married for two years, then we divorced. I utilized my business degree and got a job in Michigan in management. That is where I met my husband (who was my boss at the time) and he was asked to transfer out of Michigan to California, and asked me to go with him and I did. One year later we were married. Now we have three children....And that is why I am in California. I will probably always be here. I have often thought about going back to school out here.
