Lisa's Story
Life
After working at Stewart Airport for American Airlines for a time, my husband Jim and I moved to Long Island where he went to college.(Stonybrook) We moved back in the area after he graduated. I bought my grandparents home in Clinton Corners. I was a stay at home mommy for my two beautiful daughters Sarah(NOW 17)and Devon(NOW 14)for 9 years. I am a hairdresser, and I am now working in a doctors office in Poughkeepsie. My oldest daughter(Sarah)is looking at college's. She is an amazingly gifted artist and she is leaning towards attending SUNY Purchase! It is so exciting and probably the most terrifying thing all at the same time (for me) You want to keep them forever but you raise them with the intention of letting them stand...Expand for more
on their own two feet someday. when that day comes, although you've had all these years to prepare your mind.. you are never ready!!! My daughter Devon is in the 8th grade and is doing great in school. She loves sports and is on the volleyball team and the basketball team! She is a real good player too which is funny because she was just voted "most likely to trip over your own feet" by her classmates. haha. My husband Jim is a great guy.. works hard.. travels often.. loves golf.. loves me!! He is a good man and an awesome father!! I have a great dog that we rescued. His name is Brutus and he is a Mastiff/Dane mix. HE IS HUGE!(OVER 100 LBS!and still a puppy!) Wherever I am.. thats where he wants to be. I am happy.. life is good!
