After I left OL Slaton Junior High in Lubbock, TX in 1976, my mother and I moved to Mesquite, TX, where I attended high school. After I left Mesquite High School in 1980, I got married and started a family. Marrying so young,however, was not a well-planned triumph on my part. en a Bachelor's Degree in English and History at Stephen F. Austin (SFA) in Nacogdoches, TX, and then a Master's Degree in English at SFA. I am currently married with three wonderful, grown children (two of whom are college graduates and one of whom opted against college but is a well-established professional in computer programming).
