Lisa's Story

Life I have been a registered nurse for 31 years now. My current job is at the Clark County Combined Health District as a public health nurse. I am going to be one of the nurses giving all of your grandchildren their immunizations when they come in. I have met the children of a few of my classmates when going to the schools doing vision and hearing screenings. It is so cool to see what awesome kids you have raised! Jack and I have been together for 34 years now and have 29 year old twins-Stephen and Stephanie and a 27 year old son named Jeffrey. Also the proud grandma of Noah, Abigail, Makayla and Hailey. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in July by taking a cruise to the Bahamas...It was incredible and we can't wait to do it again! Life is good!! School Some of my happiest school memories were those spent with the marching band. Yes,I was a band geek and proud of it. The times we spent after the game were the greatest...going from McDonalds to Cedar St Beef & Liquor and back again--wow, we put Miller on the map by drinking "the champagne of beers". So exciting when we could get the 6% instead of the 3.2% wasn't it? ...Expand for more
I was never grounded until I skipped school my senior year with Fonda Stratton and got caught when I tried to write my own excuse and got busted by Mr Parsons. If my parents only knew how many times I should have been grounded...they found out the night of our 10th class reunion when Sheila Maston came back to Mom and Dad's with me and we had way too much to drink at the ice breaker. Many long kept secrets were revealed that night! How many of us saw James Ruley open up his briefcase at Kenton Ridge and show his beer and laugh hysterically? That was too funny for words. The 20th reunion was so awesome because we got to see so many of our friends from Northeastern. Our 30th was fun even though not enough people were able to make it due to being such short notice. We had a great time trading e-mails back and forth for awhile trying to get everything planned. It was so nice to hang out with people that I never had the chance to talk to much in school. Hopefully we will at least do a 35th and not wait until the 40th to try again. We have all accomplished so much and I think we should be so proud of what we have done with our lives.
