Lisa's Story
Life
Once upon a time, a crazy chick decided to audition for 'PVA in 1977. Against all odds, she - I - made it. I spent (wasted?) 3 glorious years at the OLD SCHOOL location (which, I believe is now a parking lot) as a vocalist. Nowadays, I'm spending my 9-to-5 days as a legal secretary. I WAS (read, WAS) in a band called Stage Dive but decided to quit, since my heart just wasn't in it anymore. 2003 was a huge UPSET year for me...I was laid off from Marathon in late January 2003, then I got divorced in September 2003. Later on in 2003, I hooked up with a dude named Bill (nicknamed "Flower Child"), and we eventually married in 2005, just four days before our TWINS were born! The wedding date was 8/14/05; the twins were born on 8/18/05. Their names are Mark and Jennifer.
Now it's July of 2011, and the twins are almost 6 years old already! Mark is actually writing some words and Jennifer is happily becoming a fashion diva.
School
My fave teacher at 'PVA was Ms. Bonner. Such a skinny, crazy lady...but I liked her. A lot. She was funny at times. I also liked Har...Expand for more
old McManus, and the Italian teacher, Robert Megna.
My fave friends at the time - especially my senior year - were Michael Pidgeon, John Cannon, Marilyn Kiovsky, Deshia Bookman, and Chris Trahan. (John, I'll miss you. You just had to leave planet earth...hope I see you in Heaven some day.)
College
I started college at Houston Baptist University in the fall of 1981. In spring of 1983, since I was married, I decided to quit and be a full-time wife. Besides, I didn't want a degree in music and music education...I figured I was wasting my time; besides, what would I do with a degree like that?
Fast forward to today. I still don't have my college degree. And it took some serious soul-searching but I had a dream the other night where I knew what I wanted to be. A composer and writer. So there. If I ever get a degree, it'll be in music and/or creative writing.
Workplace
I am currently working at a small law firm by the name of Brewer & Pritchard. Nice place, friendly people, and I appreciate the slow days so I can get other things done...like catching up on emails.
