Lisa's Story

After Ramapo SHS, attended Drew University as a physics major. Transferred to Milwaukee School of Engineering and got BS in Electrical Engineering. Commissioned as a USAF Officer after attending Officer Training School. Specialized in radar and satellite systems engineering. Served 8 years before completing active duty commitment. Raised 5 kids, homeschooling them for 7 ...Expand for more
years. Returned to college and got MS in Electrical Engineering (telecommunications specialty). Worked for Alcatel as DSL System Verification Test Engineer, then Alltel and Verizon Wireless as Network Device Evaluation Field Test Engineer and Test Team Lead. Retired now and enjoying time with our 11 grandkids as well as some traveling and Christian ministry opportunities.

I remember mom giving me the entertainment section of the New York Times when she was done and I would try to find all the "NINA" hidden in the Al Hirschfeld illustrations....remember, Victoria (Vicki), Lon & Toni (Nettie)?

Our grand-daughter, Rachel got to be an angel last month in a Christmas play put on by her preschool. So cute! She is the one in the middle...looks just like her mom did at that age!

28 degrees up here in Vermont...but the trees are ablaze with color so bundling up and off we go to the cider mill!
Tomorrow...my first attempt at beef ramen noodle soup. I have the bowls and chopsticks. Just need the remaining ingredients. Can't wait!
Well, here it is and it turned out pretty good! I just didn't realize how strong the Sriracha powder is and am glad I just used 1tsp and not 2 like the recipe said! Cleaned out my sinuses but not so bad ...a drink of juice
