Lisa's Story
Life
You can guess by my last name that I married my old high school sweetheart (in 1999). We were blessed to find each other again, after a hiatus of over a decade! I'm a fulltime stepmom of a loving teenage boy. He's a kick!
During the day, I teach math and science at a junior high. I get payback daily for the pranks I pulled when I was a student. Truthfully, I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. And hey, I still get the summers off! (although they seem a lot shorter)
Scott and I are both involved in music and marriage ministry at our church and we host a small study in our home every week. God is good!
I look forward to the reunion this August - 20 years...I don't feel that old.
See you soon I hope!
School
I hate to risk sounding like an Al Bundy, but I really loved high school. The fun factor was high. I'd have to say my best memories stem from being a choir and band geek! The tours were a kick! The choir tour in Chicago, the band tour in Florida - go...Expand for more
od memories! (details must be kept confidential - fellow band geeks, you understand) - (Who saw American Pie?) Sincerely, through the music and sports programs at CHS, I learned a great deal about striving for excellence and developed a healthy work ethic. OK, I was lazy as heck in track, but worked my rear off on swim team. Daily doubles...uhg!! And how many hours did we log in at marching band practice? Yikes..
In my opinion...
Weirdest class - Pollock, Social Studies
Most fun class - Tracy, Psychology (she let us leave campus to get doughnuts, as long as we brought her one)
Best classes - Larsen, Science - Dyer, Band - Iverson (poor guy), Choir
Workplace
Since high school, I've done everything from life guarding to telemarketing to delivering Dominoe's Pizza (really, I had the red, white and blue thing on my car and everything). Now, I (happily) teach math and science to the gifted student population at a junior high. It's great to get paid for something you love to do.
