Life
hmmm, category is 'life'....I guess the best thing I can say is that I love my life! I've been extremely happily married to my very best friend, Wayne, going on 14 years now. We have two precious (also mischevious, sweet, hard-headed, loving, strong-willed, and BUSY) children. Ashton is 9 and Bryant is 5. We have lived in Douglasville, GA (right by Six Flags)for the past 6 years but moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama this past summer ('07). Since we are huge Alabama fans (myself through marriage :-), we feel right at home here. God has blessed us beyond measure in so many ways. He is a great God who continues to amaze us with how personal He is as He intervenes in even the tiniest aspects of our lives (as well as the big).
School
I have so many fond memories of North Side but mostly of the fun times that I had with friends. Friday night football games, cheering, hearing the drums beat out the War Chant, homecoming bonfires, trying my hardest to get an A in Mrs. Orman's AP AlgebraII and Geometry classes, Young Life, WindyGap, Student Council....the list goes on and on. I'm...Expand for more
sorry to say that I haven't kept in touch with many of my high school friends (execpt for Heather, of course) but would love to hear from any of you out there in cyberspace! :-)
Workplace
In 1993, I got my first teaching job in Brownsville, TN as a Kindergarten teacher. I taught there for 3 years before getting a job in Jackson (at Nova Elementary). I taught 2nd grade at Nova. When our daughter, Ashton, was born in 1998, I quit teaching to stay at home. Four years later, our son, Bryant was born. I guess you could say for 8 years I 'taught' at home! When Bryant was 4 (2006), I started back to work and taught 2nd grade at Landmark Christian School in GA. My husband, Wayne, was the upper school principal and coached football there. I only taught one year in GA before God very clearly opened the door for us to move to Alabama. Wayne has taken the head football coaching position at Tuscaloosa Academy and is also the upper school dean of students. I am teaching 3rd grade. Ashton is in 3rd grade and Bryant is in K4. We love all being in the same school and love TA! GO KNIGHTS!
