Lisa's Story
Life
Currently I am living and working in Libby, Montana. It is located in the NW corner of the state about 30 miles from the Idaho panhandle and 50 miles south of the Canadian border. I have always wanted to return to this part of the country and I was very lucky to meet and fall in love with a man from here.
Since graduation I have lived in Temple, TX, Fort Hood, TX, Aschaffenburg, Germany, Cheyenne, WY, Afton, WY, Evanston, WY and Libby, MT. I attended one semester of college at Temple Junior College in 1986 and decided that school was not for me.
I had married in August of 1985 and we had 2 children. My son, Johnathan, is 17 and a senior this year(2006-07) and my daughter, Melinda, is 15 and a sophomore. Greg and I divorced in 1992 and the kids lived with me for 11 years and then 3 years ago they went to live with their dad in Michigan. I feel like I got the "easy" years of raising them and now their dad gets to have them for the fun teenage years....learning to drive, boyfriends and girlfriends and friends in general. A brand new chopper and leathers??? No, my ride is a 1986 1100 Harley Davidson Sportster. It is black with a bit of chrome here and there for now. This winter I have plans to have it stripped down and painted purple. My fiancee just rolls his eyes at this. I have been riding for 6 years now and love every minute of it. After a long stressful day it is great to be able to get on it and go for a ride. To be out on the highway in the middle of the mountains, smelling the pine trees and watching the river is the most relaxing thing I can think of.
In my spare time, besides riding my bike, I crochet, quilt, read, fish and in the fall, hunt. I don't really have a lot of spare time now though. The first of September I started my own sewing and alteration shop inside the local dry cleaners here. I did not expect to be so busy, but 55 hours or more a week, I don't have a lot of extra time. I am considering setting up an area and selling sewing supplies as well. That is a consideration for after the first of the year.
