Lisa's Story
Graduated in May of 1986, left Laschelle and Denise and moved to New York city with my Parents. Went to college at Malcom King in Harlem New York. Worked part time at Macy's dept. store and was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in 1986. Dropped out of college and moved back to Eatonton in 1988 and had my first child in 1991. Started Nursing school in August 1993 (God Bless Linda Batchelor) and graduated in July of 1994 and was liscensed in December. Bumped into an old flame on MLK Holiday in 1997 and later married him on December 20th of 1997. 1998 and a daughter in 2000. Specializd in Geriatric Nursing and later took a travel assignment to Baltimore Maryland in 2003. Moved the entire family to Maryland in 2004 won numerous Nursing awards, attended college and homeschooled my children. Husband wrote and published a book "Where Do I Go From Here?" in 2006. (Pick up a copy if you don't already have one or you can order online at B&Noble, Amazon, Borders etc.) Got a wonderful job offer from a Software company in July of 07 traveling the country training Nurses on computer software and was able to relocate to Georgia in Feb. of 08 to help take care of my mom and Grandmother. I have been truly blessed.
