Lisa's Story
My motley crew : Sons, 1 a owner of a tattoo shop, 2 a mechanic at a V.W. repair day job /night crew, airport w UPS, n 3 my b.f.f. n daughter is a student CSULB
After many typical single mom unskilled labor jobs ie. waitress n bartending n a few stents at retail. I ended up w an assorted path of volunteer jobs/work n a few years here n there on boards. USO durring "Desert Storm" , PWP Topeka chapter, Campfire in Topeka , a drop in center for the mentally disadvantaged. Got a little sidelined by a couple health issues, but going to catch up with campfire again here in L.B.
Briefly married my best friend of 10 years, (Scott Belchers big brother) Mike Belcher back in 1985, that miss guided decision lasted about 10 months, been divorced from that since 1990. Just never found another relationship headin...Expand for more
g that way again. No grand kids yet, so I borrow one lol, son number two had a girlfriend the family never quite cut loose. So her son a typical 4 year old lost a grandma to the streets. Was a natural for me to step in/up.
Just getting back into swimming about 3 times a week, 3 hours a day. Torn 3 rot cuffs n both wrists over the last 7 years, always been a little too Tom boy w my body lol, so the swimming is my gift back to it.
Had a cat for 18 years who passed this last summer, that was tough, she was kinda a child to me just a little. Still have a dog I acquired from son number one in about 2004 I think. After 12 for me 8 r 9 years for her in an apt. 3rd floor, no elevator we r both happy to be in a 1 bedroom little house built in 1923. Only 3 steps from a tiny but well loved yard, for 2 years now.
