Lisa's Story
After graduating high school, I attending nursing school at St Lawrence College in Cornwall, ON. Graduated in 1999. Started working at Hawkesbury General Hospital in the ER, Obstetrics and ICU for 4 years then moved to Sudbury, ON. I started working in ICU (medical/surgical/ neuro/trauma) at a Level I trauma hospital in 2003. Got married in 2004. Had my first child Abbey in 2005 and my second Grayson in 2010. at Laurentian University, which took 6 long years part time. In 2012 took a teaching job at Laurentian University in the School of Nursing. In 2015 changed schools and started at Cambrian College (all in Sudbury), while still working in the ICU part time. In 2017 graduated with my degree and decided to keep going! Applied to Nurse Practitioner school at Laurentian University and got in! I graduate next year (2019) with my MScN and NP degrees. I love what I do!
