Lisa's Story

I was born in Bay City, MI. went to Lanier Elementary in Munster, IN and then Upper Merion HS. I was a member of the Crew team and miss it. I started ballet at 5yrs. old and quit in 9th grade for crew, but competed on the disco circuit. I attended Kutztown State College for art and math and was a member of Dance Portmanteau. My parents moved back to MI and so I graduated from Western MI University in Dance. My sister, Laura decided to stay in PA. I toured with Repertory Dance Co. and then landed a job with Arthur Murray Dance Studio...Expand for more
. I sang in a few bands and hated the snow. So I drove to California danced with Move Dance Theatre and worked for a fashion designer, the SF art museums, taught Ballroom for 6yrs and became a travel agent in Berkeley. Finally settling down, i married Robert and now have a son. Occasionally I teach ballroom dance to the 4th graders at his school otherwise I am retired. Karen Herrmann-Murray and I are still best friends and knows how to reach me from Upper Merion HS. Beth Yarnell-Pietzak and I are Bffs from Kutztown and ditto. cc/2015
