Life was not as complicated as it is now! We used to spend hours playing outside when I was young...We would be out all day long! Different world in the 1960's. Such innocence back then. I remember loving gymnastics from a very young age...took classes in Palisades Park.... Wonderful memories of Palisades Amusement Park.... Great fun there....loved the famous roller coaster. Songs from the 60's included this park in their lyrics. I remember walking home from school...it took forever. I lived up on the hill! Fond memories of Hilgen's Soda Fountain Shop....spent hours in there! And the roller skating rink at the Rec center....Every Friday nite we would rollerskate...then there was the Pizza Place across the street from Wood Park. You could get a slice and a soda for about 35-40 cents...if my memory is correct! Wood Park....and the basketball games in the summer... High school for me was incredibly fun....Thanks to all my great friends... My parents moved to AZ when I was 19. I went to college for a couple of years and then decided to work...
