Tom's Story
Life
I am presently working for Yakima Fire Department as a Battalion Chief in the Operations Division. This is my 23rd year with the department. Eligible for retirement in 2.5 years. Will have to see what happens between now and then.
I have three children and just celebrated my 24th year with my wife Lisa. We ride motorcycles, sail, and train in the martial arts for fun. Right now we are finishing up a remodel of our home that's located on the hills south of Yakima.
My wife works as an RN for a hospital in Yakima. My oldes...Expand for more

College
Went to YVCC upon leaving the U.S. Marines in 1976. Graduated from CWU's Paramedic Science program in 1978. Worked as Paramedic for 7 years. Had wonderful experiences working on Paramedic/Rescue Unit outside Portland for 3.5 years. Re-entered college and completed a B.A. from EWU in 1996. Whew! It is a lot harder going to school with 3 kids, but worth it.
