Lisa's Story
Well after a stint in Germany and actually graduating from Wurzburg American HS, I met someone from Florida and moved here in 1972.
I started working for an Electrical Contracting Firm (union) in 1974. Met and married an electrician in 1977. We had two children, Gayle and Donnie.
I did make the 10 year reunion in 1981 as my mother was still living in Portland at the time. She has since moved here.
Was a stay at home mom for five years & returned to work at the same place in 1984 and have been here ever since.
I divorced in 1994 and remarried Paul in 1999. We were empty nesters for the first few years but started fostering children almos...Expand for more
t eight years ago. (some say "why?!") Have never gotten over my love of kids, especially the younger ones. They keep us busy and perhaps young as we have no grand children locally. We currently have all girls, 8, 6, and 21 months. The 8 and 6 are sisters and have been with us 4 years but are transitioning to their new forever family. Hard to let them go but great to see when things work out - someone much bigger than me at work in all of this. The baby we have had since she was 3 months and we will see what God has in store for her.
I have been blessed with a full and rewarding life. Take care and hope to see many of you at the 40 reunion!
