Lisa's Story
Life
Currently, I live in Montgomery County, Maryland. I have two children (ages 28 and 25). I was a part-time editor and writer for a national trade association for a decade. I left that 'day job' in '01 to accept a graduate fellowship at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned an M.F.A. (master of fine arts) in choreography in May '04.

ting have been recognized with Simon Rockower Awards from the American Jewish Press Association and a first-place award from the Maryland, Delaware, DC Press Association (not quite the Pulitzer ...). I was awarded a New York Times fellowship to the Institute for Dance Criticism at Duke University. I have taught at the University of Maryland College Park and presently teach dance history and appreciation at Montgomery College Rockville.
I'm divorced after a 28-year marriage. Now I'm figuring out life on my own with an empty nest.
