Lisa's Story
Life
I am married with four very beautiful children the oldest is 13 and the youngest is 11 months old. My husband is in the US Army; We are currently stationed over seas in Germany. My husband is soon to leave for his third deployment to Iraq ; We are a family very devoted to our country and the freedoms we all as americans take advantage of daily. You never know how great American really is until you are in a position that requires you to live else where and see the poverty not to mention the lack of human rights all over the world. I have had a awakening recently... I was diagnosed having thyroid cancer in November of 2008. I have gone through surgery and very recently radiation therapy (2 weeks ago.) Again seeing how life is taken for granted, Iam told I am not cancer free and can not be considered free of disease for at least a year. I have left it in gods hands, there is nothing I as a human can do other than wish for the best. Continue to love and care for my children in the hopes they will not ever have to experience a life with out me (not any time soon!)
