wyer at Heller Ehrman, and we now have three children: Thomas 5, Nicholas 2, and Alexander, born in January 2005. My book, Birthing the Nation, just came out with Oxford University Press and I'm currently an associate profesorr and the chair of the history department at Claremont McKenna.
