Lisa's Story
I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Living in Bend is living the dream and I usually blow off steam by walking the river trail!
I'd say the wildest thing I did in school was getting kicked off the basketball team for reasons we certainly cannot mention here!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have fun, challenges, and great co-workers to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I moved from Roseburg after my Jr year and went to Eugene and graduated from Sheldon HS there. I went 1 yr to Lane Comm Coll. and then went to PLU in Tacoma and graduated in 1984 with a music degree - thanks to Mr. Poole and is HUGE influence on me. I stayed in Seattle for 22 years! and too much traffic. So back to OR and Eugene we went and in 06 to Bend. Love it here.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Raelyn Palmer, because we were best buds at Joe Lane and some of HS.
I'm still pretty obsessed with music.
I have 2 kids, what can I say just like my mom did - I live for them for sure. Thank God for 19 year olds who can download GREAT music for their mom cuz Lord knows I would have no clue what's out there nor do I have time to figure it out.
For sure I would love to see David Poole - we were friends and he was a big part of my life.
My first job was at the Fireside , where I got paid bank to bus tables. What I remember most about it is Raelyn and Jimmy Buffet songs.
I'll never forget fending for my life in a black inner-tube on the Umpqua.
