Lisa Olson:

CLASS OF 1985
Hopatcong, NJ

Lisa's Story

Life I live in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill and am very busy taking care of my three kids with my husband George. I do some part-time work for a non-profit, do some subsitute teaching, and love being a Mom. It definitely is the hardest job I have ever had, but also the most rewarding. College I went to Virginia Tech. Bennie D'Alessio and I were the only graduates from Hopatcong '85 that went to VA Tech. It was awesome. It is a great school and I would love it if someday my kids wanted to go there. I majored in Business Management with minors in Theater Arts and Communication Studies. Workplace Once I graduated from VA Tech, I took a job with a children's theater company in Columbia, SC for Patchwork Players. After that summer I took a full-time position with ...Expand for more
EDS on their track to become a systems engineer. Although information technology is a far cry from children's theater, it paid the bills and I made it through their training program. I moved to Germany with EDS where I worked there for 2 years with the military and then moved to Luxembourg where I lived there and in Belgium for a year working with GM as our customer. After Europe, I came back to VA and then moved to Hawaii with EDS for 4 years doing technical sales. It was a great job and gave me the opportunity to do some travelling in Asia, but then I had my first child and everything changed. We moved back to the DC area and I have not held a full-time job that I have been paid for since (I have been a full-time Mom to three beautiful children)! What's next...who knows!
