Lisa's Story
Life
I am currently married. I have been married twice before and have two children from my first marriage. Most people probably remember my first husband and my childrens father, Brian Weldon. My daughter is beautiful (and I am not at all prejudiced), and very artistic. She is working as a photographer, married to a loving husband and has a baby girl. Yes, I am a grandmother. My son is married to Amanda Woodward Weldon. I am retired/disabled from the Census Bureau and met and married the love of my life and currently living in Connecticut until he retires in a few years. We dated for a while before we got married last year and are still very happy.
School
I attended Crawford County High School during Junior High, and my freshman year. My sophomore year began at New Albany High. My fondest memories are of those two schools. achers would have to be Mr. Stanton, and Mr. Howard at New Albany I always came out of their classes feeling good about myself and my work. I will always appreciate them, and Mr. Largent, who was the assistant principal my Junior year, for all of the help and support they gave me through some very difficult times. I know Mr. Foreman at Floyd Central gets the same gratitude.
Workplace
I spent 6 years working at the Child Development Center in New Albany with some of the most wonderful people anyone can imagine. We had a group of caring dedicated teachers that put the well-being of the children first and foremost.Due to the problems with the uppermost management, most of us moved on to other things. I am now working for the US Census Bureau, and have been fortunate enough to get in with a fairly good group of co-workers. I have been able to be made permanent year round employee. Unfortunately I had to retire disabled when my health took a downturn. I was able to get back to being able to take care of myself, though still unable to work..
