Lisa's Story

Life Hello Wehrle High alum of "A.D.7"! After graduation, I started college but got pretty burnt out and never finished. I focused on working full-time and enjoying some amenities having cash would afford like a car. I started out at BancOhio in 1987 and moved to OSU Medical Center in 1990. I worked my way up there and ended up as a Systems Analyst at an affiliate of OSU Medical Center in 1996. I've been there ever since and am now an Access Systems Manager, overseeing initiatives in Patient Access Improvement and Best Practice implementation in the physicians practices. In the midst of the working, I had two kids and got married (in that order). My girls are 14 1/2 and 16 now. I was married for 12 years but divorced in 2004. Single parenting and maintaining a career is a challenge to say the least. At least, while they are girls and they are teenagers, I'm in the home stretch. ere is hope at least! My parents are both gone now. My Dad died in March of 2001 and my Mom just passed away in March 2007. Being an only child is tough when having to deal with such things as funeral planning and dissolving homesteads. Regardless, I'm sure I'll get through it. I have met my soulmate and best friend, finally. He is a wonderful man and a great step-father, filling in where the girls' father falls short - the emotional stuff such as trust and safety. We've only been dating for about 10 months now and, having both been in bad relationships, we're taking it slow - so who knows whether or not there will ever be marriage. Regardless, we're having tons of fun in the here-and-now. Hope that we can get an 20 year reunion planned at some point! I hope you all are well. Keep smilin' and take care of you!
