It's hard to know what to say about 25 years that will fit in a little text box, except maybe "what a long, strange trip it's been..." *grin* The professional part is easy, so I'll do that first. From Putnam City I went to college, first the University of Missouri and then OSU. Went to grad school for about a billion years and finished a Piled Higher and Deeper degree in psychology at the University of Alabama (and I've got the student loans to prove it!). I came back to Oklahoma for a couple of years to finish up my training. I taught at Baylor in Waco for a couple of years, but didn't really "fit" there. One morning I was having an "I can do something else for a living" kind of tantrum, made a impulsive phone call, and ended up in a different career. I was an editor for a college publishing company for five years. When my company got eaten in the merger and acquisition wars between the big publishing companies, most of the Fort Worth office was canned, which was scary at the time, but it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me.
