Lisa's Story
Hi all,
I hope everyone is well. I have been living in California for the last 27 years. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, and then taught school on the Navajo reservation before I found my way to San Francisco. I took what I thought would be a 6 month job at a law firm in the city that ended up lasting 12 years. I then took a few years off to be with the kids and went back to work part time at a school. I do reading and math intervention for 4th and 5th graders and love it. I am just starting my 13th year there.
I'm married to Sherman (many of you met him at the 20th reunion) and we have 2 kids...Expand for more
. My son, Travis, is a senior at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is studying sound design and loves electronica. My daughter, Katie, is a senior at Tamalpais High School and is wanting to go into science. We moved to Mill Valley(about 15 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge) 20 years ago and will probably stay here the rest of our lives. We have managed to do some travel. Spain and Costa Rica were fun, and our trip to Ecuador and the Amazon basin, where we swam with piranha and caymans, was a once in a life time experience.
My family is still in Greenville, so we manage to visit at least once a year.
