Lisa's Story

SCHOOL - I went to Hendricks Elementary until 4th grade then moved to Southwestern where I graduated in May of 1987. I also went to Blue River Voca my senior year. CAREER - After graduation I worked for the Shelby County Assessors office for a total of 13 years, then worked for Elwood Staffing as a Customer Service Manager for 5 years. (2 years in Shelbyville, 3 years in Greenfield) After years of high stress :( lol, I decided to go in a different direction in my career and ended up at Indiana Downs in 2007 working in the race office and am now working for the Indiana Standardbred Association (affiliated with Hoosier Park and Indiana Downs)in Greenfield as the Administrative Assistant and am happy to ...Expand for more
report very content. LIFE - I married Tom Smothers (SWHS Class of 1984) in 1988, and divorced in 2005 but have 2 wonderful kids as a result. My son, Tyler (19) is currently attending Ivy Tech majoring in Radiology. My daughter, Haley (16) is a Soph at Shelbyville High School. I recently married Todd Krise (SWHS Class of 1984)in 2007 and can report that second marriages do work! With my new marriage came two more wonderful kids. Todd's daughter Jessica (19) is currently attending Ball State majoring in Nursing. Todd's son, Johnathan (16)is a Soph at Shelbyville High School. Todd and I often joke we are like the Brady Bunch in a new era. Our lives are very very busy but fun and we could not be happier.
