Monta's Story
Life
Life is good! My daughter is in college, NSU, doing well. My son lives in Tulsa, a computer tech. I'm retired from teaching, and I'm getting used to it. I just bought a house, all my own,(well me and the bank).
School
My favorite teacher was Marie Borchardt. She was my 1st and 2nd grade teacher, and my sunday school teacher. I still see her, and she is still the sweetest person. The one who inspired me to finish college was my first college teacher, Mr. West, from Connors State College. The one who inspired me to be a teacher, was Mr. James Adamek, also a teacher at Connors. I have been blessed with many good mentors in my life. I would do it all over again in a flash.

I've not had many jobs in my life. My first was mowing yards and digging vegetable gardens, (before the day of tillers). Next I was a nursery attendant at Grace Church. Later I got a job in the kitchen at Muskogee Regional Hospital. I started out washing dishes and making patient trays. Later was promoted to supervisor. Then became a certified food service manager. My last job was teaching. I taugh high school math. I subbed at alot of schools before I got a full time position: Muskogee high, Alice Robertson, Parkview, Fort Gibson, and Hilldale. My full time positions were at Tahlequah High School and Braggs School. I met quite a few wonderful kids, also some great teachers and staff.
