Liz's Story

Life When I started high school, I was a quiet bookworm in the corner that no one really noticed (unless you needed help cheating on tests). Things certainly do change, don't they? What a long strange trip it's been! Let's see...I was in corporate accounting for over 20 years but became burned out on that. I've also been a bartender, and a costumer (best job ever!), and I've been in a band, I've lived on a farm, and I've been to Sturgis (twice!). I've been working in thrift stores for the last ten years, and I am currently the Assistant Manager of the Salvation Army store in Midway (which...Expand for more
is between Kent & Des Moines on Hwy 99, south of the airport). My manager is wonderful to work for, and Salvation Army is an organization that I am very proud to be a part of. And I'm living on the Eastside again (Factoria) with my BFF and my sweet Golden Retriever, Tugg. I miss living in Seattle. If you had asked me a year ago if I would ever move back to the Eastside, I would have laughed myself silly - but that goes for half of the things I have done, for that matter. It just goes to show you that you never know what might happen next - in my life, anyway. At least it's never boring!
