Lloyd's Story

Well everyone I guess I can try to share a few things with you. Ive had some good times and bad as most people have. I have two boys and both are grown new. I have 4 grandkids All them are healthy a and lot of fun to be around. I travel to see them about once a year and spend time with them. I am married and have been for nearly 11 years. I am living in Hempstead, Texas and work in Houston at Dreyers Grand Icecream as a Maintenance Engineer. I do industrial repair, such as computers, electrical, plumbing, metal fabrication, welding and metal machining. The pay is good and benefits are too. The entrance exam is tough to go along with it. I have been there 5 years now. Free icecream!! I have been in an industial tech atmosphere for most of my working life. I have worked in some strange places too and met some really fascinating people. I have worked at McDonald Douglass in Houston, salt mines in Weeks Island, Louisiana, forging plants, rocket motor plants in Utah, mail distribution centers and shipyards. I have traveled coast to coast and been to most states. Got paid to be in the pit crew at Bonniville Salt Flats during Speedweek. My boss had a car there and we ran it to death. 212 MPH against a 198 MPH record in his class. met Al Teagues and crew in Wendover Utah at a casino while eating dinner. He went 401MPH the following Saturday in his streamliner. I worked with a fastdraw pistol champion in Kentucky. He had his own shooting room in the basement of his house. My interests are still racing and hotrods. I was into motorcycles for a while but while living in Ken...Expand for more
tucky got out of it. People up there drive stupid. So you get the biggest truck you can and convince them it is safer to stay on the other side of the road :) Skating, cycling, cruising and car shows are still some of the many things I like to do. I do a lot of fabrication at home, making stuff has always been fun for me. I need something then it is possible to make it. I hope to see some of you again. I have not been to any of the reunions but would like to go to the next one and see you all again. By the way jobs are not lacking in Houston if you need one. If a person want to work there are jobs to find. I kept kind of a low profile while in school so not many of you do I expect to remember me. However some of you know me pretty good. Michael Hicks and family, Calvin Porter and family, Ruth Rast and Ondrea Barlow and I am sure more that apologize for not naming here. Some of us used to play cards in the high school gym in the bleachers :) I think maybe Jeannie Carter was there too. Anyway hope I haven't bored ya'll too much. fierocious1 @ yah Story Wizards........ Wildest thing I ever did in school? Hmmmm one female knows :) If I won a $100 million, I would pay off all my families debt, pay for college for all the family's kids education, buy all the family new cars and put most of it in the bank and live off the rest. Then travel some. What happened to my first crush? I have know idea where Sheila Wheeler is or what ever happened to her. Dress? I am casual almost always. Jeans and nice shirt. I will be posting more as in a few days.....
