Marca Merrell:  

Four days after graduation, I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 16, 1970. Fall of 1970 I studied for a year at College of the Desert in Palm Desert. July of 1971 I moved to Utah and have lived here ever since. I entered the License Practical Nursing program at Utah Technical College in 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated in August of 1973. After graduation I worked at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah for 3 years on an orthopedic floor. From October of 1976 to April 1978 I served as a Welfare Services Missionary in Bolivia, South America. This is where I met my angel husband, Arthur Kent Merrell...there is a longer version to this story, but this is enough for now. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 2, 1978 for time and all eternity. I worked at Utah Valley Regional Hospital in Provo while Kent finished his degree at Brigham Young University. We then moved to Logan, Utah for 5 years and then have lived in Salt Lake City, Utah ever since. We have 5 children, four boys and one girl. They all attended the same schools as their dad and even had some of the same teachers. Four of our children are married and we have 7 cute grandchildren...5 boys and 2 girls with another girl on the way in January 2014.
