I was the quiet silent type! was tall and leggy. And suffered from a case of super shyness. I was kind of a book worm. I hung out wit Smart, but Cool folks like Melvin Dean and a couple of others during Social Studies. During recess I hung out with my best friend Ms. Chavela Thompson (Mrs. Dean) now. Home Coming Queen! she was and still is a person everybody wants to be around. Her warm and earnest smile was a welcoming magnet to all she came in contact with. She readily accepted me into her circle of trusted friends. We've called each other Sister! from that point on. School, I loved everything about Home Economics because of Sweet natured Mrs. Ballinger. I was able to shine in the background during her class. It was during that time I knew I wanted to serve and help others. I joined the Army in 78 & got married in 79. No kids after about 28 years together we Divorced in 2007. No regrets there; because he got stationed in Germany which allowed me to stay for 6 yrs. I loved every minute of the place. From young I've always wanted to travel the world or at least part of it. Most of my military time was done, I got the service in 83. I was 76Y Supply/Logistics. I've worked in this field in various capacities for much of my career. Being in Logistics (Contracting) took me to Bosnia, Herzegovina. Those were some of the most loving folks; once you get to know them....Expand for more
