Julie's Story
Life
I joined the USMC in 1981 during my fourth year of college and it was the best thing that happened to me. Being a Marine gave me the self-confidence I never had in High School and taught me to be who I am today. I served proudly until I was medically discharged in 1989. In 1989, I went to work for Brunswick Bowling and Billiards traveling around the USA and Canada as a Systems Trainer. I went back to college and obtained my BA in Computer Science. Upon graduation, I accepted a full time position with a major Telecommunications Company where I worked for 12 years before being optimized. I have been married in excess of 28 years to a now retired US Marine. I enjoy cooking, quilting, knitting, camping, fishing, shooting, reading, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and walking. On occasion I like to watch the Hurricane's hockey, some professional football, lacrosse and some college basketball.
