Lois's Story
Can't believe it has been 56 years now since we graduated. Like a lot of other "elder" people,I am moving a lot slower than I used to. My latest activities include volunteering at the Schuylkill Valley Nature Center in Roborough, PA Six of us do stream habitat assessments and chemical analyses on the Wissahickon Creek. We study the temperature,, pH. dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, alkalinity, sulphate by using colorimeters, and various chemical. It is all very interesting. ng on; involving children and their parents, so we help out at those functions also. It is a beautiful location - native plants, aniimals, a large pond inhabited by aquatic life.
I still do dog-sitting at epople's homes while they go on vacation. All the doggies are such sweeties and easy to care for (a toy poodle named "Copper," a treeing walker hound named "Handsome," a Jack Russell, named "Jack," and my Pomeranian mix grand-dogs, "Peanut amd Trixie". My daughter's other dog, "Chewie," just recently died. He was 22 human years old!
