Lola's Story
Can it really be almost 40 years since we graduated from High School? Does that mean we are getting old? I certainly dont think of myself as old, more like seasoned or experienced. A nicely aged wine.
I spent 12 years after college living in a small town on the western slope. After getting a divorce I moved back to the Denver area. I have since remarried and live in SE Aurora with my husband, our Welsh Terriers, and koi. Life at home is quiet and peaceful.
I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I love being a grandparent - such unconditional love and so much easier than being a parent. I am fortunate in that all of my family lives in Colorado, most live in Denver and I get to see them all frequently - especially the 3 little ones.
I am an ERP software implementation consultant and project manager. My job is pretty cool if I say so myse...Expand for more
lf. I work with mid-size manufacturing companies and help them implement an enterprise wide software package that manages all aspects of their business - inventory, accounting, scheduling, costing, sales, and so on. My job takes me all over the country allowing me to see and learn a lot. I travel 3 to 5 days a week most weeks. I love what I do. I had no idea 40 years ago that I would be doing anything even close to this as a career.
For those of you who had my dad Merrill Carter - as an English teacher - he is still alive and kicking and doing quite well.
All in all I must say that I am happy with my life and where it has taken me. I look forward to seeing where it has yet to take me. I hope that this journey will allow me to cross paths with many of you again. Enjoy the journey.
