After graduating from High School, I went on to college where I promptly bombed out as I discovered that I would rather party and play than study. I went on to secretarial school and ended up working at Bauchman's Electric for a few years and then the Atomic Energy Commission in Canoga Park California. I returned to school in 1972 and ended up with a BA in Sociology with a Social Work Emphasis in 1974. I worked for the Department of Health and Welfare Mental Health Services Mental Health Center in Pocatello, Idaho as a Therapist for 8 years. During that time I provided both indivdual and group therapy as well as worked with victims of sexual abuse and abusers. In 1983 I transferred to Child Protection Services in Blackfoot, Idaho and worked there for 4 years. In 1987, I moved to Spokane, Washington to work as a therapist at Lutheran Community Services, providing both individual and group sessions to victims of sexual abuse. I also worked for the Child Welfare System within Lutheran and designed and ran a program for Sexually Reactive/Sexually Aggressive Kids. I left Lutheran to enter private practice in 1996, continuing to work with children and their families. I attended graduate school and graduated with a Master's in Social Work.
