Lon's Story
Life......
Graduated from St. Ambrose in 1966, after starting kindergarden in Pennsylvania, and the first two years of grade school at St. John the Evangelist, after the family moved to Rochester. I then attended McQuaid Jesuit High School, graduating in 1970.
Spent my first year of college at MCC, in Rochester, in a Business Administration Program, I was then was hired, the following year, into a work/college co-op program, with Eastman Kodak's Precision Optics Group in conjunction with MCC's Optical Technology Program. I retired from full-time work.
Joined Eastman Kodak Company in 1971, in a work/college co-op program. Continued with Kodak in several capacities until 2004, when my division was sold to ITT Industries. I'm still with ITT, hoping to retire within a couple of years.
(update...retired April 1, 2008......finally!)
I always felt the "need for speed", so I raced automobiles for a while in the 80s, but got tired of trying to "fill the hole in the asphalt" with $50 bills. I quit, and never looked back.
Got married in 1990, to a fine woman who was a member of St. Ambrose's class of 1964.
