Lonnie's Story
Life
Life is a blowing breeze,
sometimes calm
yet always moving.
Yesterday was childhood;
yesterdays are many.
Today is always here.
What do we fear?
Only a soul can answer.
Tomorrow,
always just around the corner.
So what is life?
A gift, to live
like no one else can live it.
We run & we fall;
we fly & we crawl
to where it is ...Expand for more
we're going.
We measure a life
by a standard.
"Is it darkness or light?
Is it wrong; is it right?
Is it dull; is it bright?
Is it something within?
Is it something beyond?"
If the truth is the truth,
then wisdom desires
that we find her.
So we search & we find,
& we keep searching on.
For to find is to want it more dearly.
